IMHO this seems to be simply the greatest company in the world. Has anybody information about the development of their workforce during this period ? Did they introduce that much machinery (CNC), and is the increase in productivity a result of this ?

So how can they build 6 times as many guitars per year and keep (or even improve) their quality ? I have a 1986 Martin, and one from 1999 (at last I know !), and for the quality: The 1999 has the same premium quality as the one from 86. Isn't it crazy how they increased the numbers of guitars ? In the year 2000 they built more than 6 times as many guitars as 10 years before ! Did this have a negative effect on the quality ? I was looking for the new figures for some time now, and never found it. I see requests here sometimes for assistance in dating Martin guitars.
